How to Schedule an Interview
There are a few ways to create and share interview sessions depending on your workflow.
Using the Chrome Plugin
This is the most flexible option for scheduling interviews from your ATS, calendar, or custom emails.
Click the CodeInterview icon in your Chrome toolbar
(Optional) Enter an interview name
Click Generate Interview Link
Copy and paste the link into your calendar invite, ATS, or email
If you haven’t installed the plugin yet, it can be downloaded from the Chrome Web Store.
The session will also appear in your CodeInterview dashboard. To start the interview as an interviewer, click Run.
Opening the link without logging in will start the session in Candidate Mode, which does not include Interviewer Notes or Templates.
Invite by Email or Link
If you’re creating a session from the dashboard:
Click New Interview from the left sidebar or create an interview from Templates.
Once the session opens, click the Invite icon in the top-right corner
Choose to either:
Send a personalized email via CodeInterview
Copy the invite link and share it manually
To schedule a session for later, choose Create Link for Later on the dashboard. You'll then be prompted to choose your preferred invite method.
Selecting the Invite via Email option will send out the following email to your candidate.
Inviting Panelists
There are two ways additional panelists can join an interview:
Candidate Mode – Share the link with them directly, just like with candidates
Interviewer Mode – Ask team members to log in and click Run from their dashboard
Duplicate an Existing Interview
You can duplicate any existing interview on your dashboard:
Hover over the interview you want to copy.
Click the Duplicate Interview button.
This creates a new interview session with the same settings as the original.
Cancelling an Interview
To cancel a scheduled session:
Go to your interview list
Select the checkbox next to the session
Click Delete
